New Client Project

Virtual Design Plan for 2 Year old Girl

I just finished a really fun project for a client this week. The project was for a 2 year old little girls bedroom. The little girl loved birds and my client wanted a room that was very soft and relaxing for her daughter. I chose to go with light pinks, bright pinks, light blue, and white throughout the room. The room decor consisted of subtle accents of birds, trees, and a variety of textures. You can view the completed project below.

Your Opinion is Needed for the Little Kostrzewa Nursery Design (AGAIN)!!!!

Well, I have already showed you the two "Boy" nursery options for our new little addition. I have finally completed the "girl" nursery options in the event that we have a little girl and not a little boy. My gut still says a boy, but we will see. Below are the two nursery options for a girl. Please let me know which one you like best!!!
Option #1
"In the Meadow"

Option #2
"Lovely Lavender"

So far I have no preference, although my favorite color is purple!!! Check back soon to find out the two final choices for the nursery. The gender of the baby is determined in 3 weeks so we are getting excited :).

Your Opinion is Needed for the Little Kostrzewa Nursery Design!!!!

As you may or may not already know, my husband and I are expecting our second little one in October. We do not know the gender as of yet, but my hunch is its a boy. I have gone ahead and designed e decoratin plans for both a boy and a girl just in case. You might ask why I dont just wait to design the room till we find out the gender? Well...I'm impatient, would like to plan ahead, and this is more fun of course!!! I need your help in deciding which of the two boy plans to chose from if we do in fact have a little boy. You opinion is greatly appreciated, so please add your comments on what you like, what you dont like and which of the two plans you would like to see in our nursery.

As soon as the gender is revealed I will begin to design the room and will update you periodically with pictures on how the nursery is coming along with photographs. In the end, I will have a big room reveal!!!

Option # 1
"Come Fly with Me"

Option #2
"Monkey See Monkey Do"

Can you guess which is my favorite and which my husband Mike likes best? I am currently putting together the girl room options and will check back in soon with those two design plan options when they are finished.

Thanks for Helping!!!

Most Recently Completed Client Projects

Below are some recently completed design plans that I have completed for two different clients.

Vintage Sports Boys Nursery

This room was designed with a vintage sports theme in mind. My client was looking for something more grown up and not too "cutesy" for her little one. She loved bold colors so I presented her with a brown, orange and sage green color combination for the room and she loved it. I added some Babe Ruth vintage art pieces for the room, as well as some old fashioned footballs and baseball gear. My client was looking for modern furniture but something that was not too "matchy matchy". The crib chosen was a perfect fit for the room.

"Come Play with Me" Play Room Design Plan

This room was so much fun to design. I adore designing play rooms for kids because there are so many fun options to chose from.  My client was looking for a bold color scheme for the room and wanted an area with a sofa and tv stand as well as an area for a table and chairs for art projects. Her play room floor plan had an odd shape, so to keep the room from feeling too closed in, I chose white furniture and a light color sofa. My client was not afraid to go light with furnishings so the options chosen worked out well.  I wanted to make sure her children had plenty of options to hang their own art work, so I added a variety of chalkboards, magnet boards, and wire with clips to display those pieces. Storage was also a must for the room and this design plan allowed for a variety of storage options for toys and/or books.

Dominik's "Big Boy Bedroom" Revealed!!!

I finally took some photos of Dominik's (my son) "Big Boy" Bedroom that I designed for him. It has been finished for quite some time now, but I haven't gotten around to post it to the blog. This room was obviously inspired by the water. Dominik loves the water, so I feel this room fits his personality really well. I had my friend, Mary Howe (Mural Artist) paint the mural on the wall directly behind Dominik's big boy bed. She did a great job. I wanted something not too "mature" looking but rather something age appropriate for a toddler and I think she captured that very well.

In addition to the mural I also wanted Dominik to have a play area in his room which included a sitting/reading area. Dominik loves his books, and as you can see he has many of them, so I included lots of storage options.

The bedding that I chose was a great find from Pottery Barn. It was a design that was being discontinued so I snagged it at a great price. The great thing about the bedding is it can grow with him as he gets older. If Dominik one day decides he wants his room redone and he is no longer into fish, the bedding can easily be matched with any type of decor.

I think this room turned out really nice. I hope he enjoys playing and sleeping in it as much as I enjoyed designing it for him.
